How long do I have to try on dresses?

Our appointments run for an hour, giving you plenty of time to look at our collection and try on the dresses you are drawn to.

You will leave with a sketch and cost of your favourite dress(es). You are welcome to book a second appointment if you require more time to be sure about your big decision.

How many people can I bring to my appointment?

We ask brides to limit their guests to three. If you have a large family or bridal party, we may be able to accommodate depending on the day, so please get in touch.

Can you copy a dress from another designer?

Whilst we offer customisation of our gowns, for example combining components from the collection, adding sleeves and trains, we won't copy a gown from another designer. We also only use our own silks and laces. However, if you have images of wedding dresses you like, send us the images. We may have similar styles in our collection, or find a way to combine a few aspects from various BRIDEHOUSE designs to create a gown you will love.

What sizes are your sample gowns?

We make wedding dresses for brides of all shapes and sizes. Our sample dresses are various sizes and we have clever tricks to give you a clear picture of what the dress will look once it is custom-made and fitted to your shape perfectly.

How far in advance should I start the process?

In most cases, we find six to nine months before your wedding day is the perfect amount of time to construct your dress so you can relax and look forward to your big day. Over 3 - 4 visits we take meticulous care every step of the way. Need it sooner? Get in touch as our workroom is on-site and we can work our magic to help you.

What is included in the price of the gown?

Everything! From taking your measurements, to you leaving with a dress perfectly ready for your day. Leave it all to us and our team of skilled seamstresses.

What if I live outside of Brisbane, can I still have a custom-made dress from THE BRIDEHOUSE?

We create wedding dresses for brides all over Australia and the world. Because our workrooms are located in store, we are very flexible with our timeframes and work with you for your visits to Brisbane. We offer virtual Facetime appointments and personally guide through the measurement process.

We then offer an additional virtual appointment to go over your beautiful wedding gown before we wrap her up and send her by registered post directly to your door.

Do you offer an in-house alterations service?

Your Bridehouse gown is made to your measurements so any alterations needed for your gown are included in the price of your gown and completed by our team of seamstresses. We are also happy to alter bridal gowns purchased from other stores, our experienced team of seamstresses understand the intricacies of bridal gowns and can help you achieve a great fit.

What is your refund policy if I change my mind?

We try and be as flexible as we possibly can for our brides, especially if life events such as pregnancy occur. Although our deposits are non refundable and non transferable, in extenuating circumstances we will sometimes allow brides to change styles of gown as long as the same fabric is being used and we have not actually started creating your gown.
